Te Kai Koha 'The gift of food'

Location: 3-7 Aubrey St, Whangarei

Our team from The Salvation Army Whangarei's Maori Ministries are going into the community to meet people in their own environment through our Te Kai Koha ('the gift of food') programme.

The Salvation Army is connecting with the community and in turn helping individuals connect within their community. The people we meet are struggling in a number of ways such as dealing with housing issues, overcrowding and the high cost of living. We provide an opportunity for people to engage with us, build relationships and inform them of the services available to help them in the community.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to purchase added resources such as a generator and urns for this programme.
