Support the Auckland Community Food Truck Project

Location: Glendene School 60 Barrys Rd Glendene Auckland

2016 saw us raise $21,228.00 for the Community Food Truck Project – but we’re still short of what we need to fully get this project off the ground.

We continue to see a significant increase in the number of rough sleepers in West Auckland but alarmingly many are unable to come and access our services.

Some have told us:

“In winter it’s amazing how a hot drink and friendly word can pick you up and offer hope”

“When I’m sleeping on the streets a hot drink at night helps me get through till morning”

“Seeing someone out here where I sleep means I don’t have to leave my tent and stuff to go and get support”

Register here to participate in Auckland's 14 Hours Homeless event. You can join us at the hosted event or host your own event offsite and raise money for our project. If you are unable to participate but would like to support our project, you might like to make a donation to our cause.

We want to take our services to the rough sleepers and provide practical support, hot food and coffee out on the streets, we will engage with the homeless on their own turf; so this year’s 14 Hours Homeless event will continue to raise funds for our Community Food Truck Project.

The Community Food Truck will also be used as an emergency vehicle in the wider Auckland area, and a support to the broader services of the Salvation Army when appropriate.

Our goal is to raise $27,000 to help turn our dream into reality.

By supporting our Waitakere 14 Hours Homeless event as a participant or a sponsor you are helping make a positive difference to our homeless problem.

Thanks for your support!
