Sleep out to support Invercargill's homeless

Location: The Salvation Army, 29-31 Victoria St, Invercargill

The Salvation Army in Invercargill will be running events again this year to raise funds and increase awareness about homelessness within New Zealand.

Since late January 2016 an Emergency Accommodation Service has been operating from the former Men's Hostel on Leven Street, we have helped people with emergency accommodation and assisting people to find more permanent accommodation.

You can help make a difference and support this worthy cause by signing up to participate, find sponsors and sleep out in cars, on couches, or on cardboard for 14 hours alongside others in a secure outdoor environment. We’re encouraging everyone to set a fundraising target so that monies can go towards the continuation of the service; assisting those vulnerable people affected by homelessness.

Register here to participate in Invercargill Salvation Army's 14 Hours Homeless event. You can join us at the hosted event or host your own event offsite and raise money for our project. If you are unable to participate but would like to support our project, you might like to make a donation to our cause.
